Roz Ostler Joins Tribe of Heart Team
New Director of Operations will expand reach and impact of TOH projects

Tribe of Heart is excited to announce that Roz Ostler will be joining the organization in the newly created position of Director of Operations. Roz comes to Tribe of Heart after completing fourteen years of work with the North American Vegetarian Society (NAVS), where she has played a key role in organizing and facilitating NAVS' annual Vegetarian Summerfest, a popular conference focusing on personal transformation, health and justice activism.

Roz brings to Tribe of Heart a unique combination of skills and experience that include leadership in an activist setting, detailed knowledge of a social justice movement, and expertise in nonprofit operations and administration. Prior to working for NAVS, Roz had a ten year career in the finance industry, where she rose to the level of Vice President.

In her new role as Director of Operations, Roz is poised to strengthen the foundation supporting the creation and propagation of Tribe of Heart projects, as well as broaden their reach and impact. "Her move to Tribe of Heart comes at an ideal time, when we have major outreach initiatives slated to be released in the coming year and with our newest feature documentary now in the editing room," says Tribe of Heart co-founder and filmmaker James LaVeck. "We are excited by the opportunity to collaborate with a new team member of such talent and character. Roz's abilities and experience hold out the promise of Tribe of Heart reaching a much larger audience, and at the same time, of increasing the positive impact on each individual reached. Over the last several years, we have enjoyed a fruitful collaboration with Roz on the development of Tribe of Heart's many presentations on advanced activism at Summerfest, and have come to have great respect for the dedication to quality and devotion to service and social justice that characterizes her work, and that of NAVS as an organization."

Roz commented, "I have been very fortunate to have had the opportunity at NAVS to learn from true visionaries in the vegan movement. I am thrilled to be joining the Tribe of Heart team where their outstanding creative talents and commitment to integrity shine through in their work. We have great chemistry together and I am excited to see where that takes us!"

One of Roz's first projects at Tribe of Heart will be coordinating the launch of Global Tribal Cinema, a new online education and activism platform which will debut in combination with the long anticipated release of Peaceable Kingdom: The Journey Home for free online viewing. The film will first be released in English, followed by ten other languages: Croatian, Czech, Finnish, French, German, Polish, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish, Swedish, with many more languages in the years to come. In keeping with Tribe of Heart's commitment to respect audiences and protect the integrity of the viewing experience, Global Tribal Cinema will present Tribe of Heart films and educational videos in a noncommercial context, completely free of advertisements and commercial interruptions.
